The serpent is arguably the oldest and most potent symbol within the human psyche.  For Millenia, as the human species spread across the earth, forming different cultures, they carried this ancient symbol of wisdom within their imagination: the wisdom of a cycle expressed in birth, the performance of instinct, shedding skin, procreation, death, and, as depicted in the symbol of the ouroboros (the snake eating its own tail), the cycle completing into itself as rebirth.

In the human experience, this cycle might be symbolically understood as possibility, the soul’s authentic expression, healing transformation, creativity, letting go, and second chances, respectively. This cycle holds the never-ending story of our stories, comforting us with our ancestors' voices - experienced performers of this cycle themselves - whispering encouragingly in our ears, “Keep going!”

Find Your Slither is inspired by this primordial cycle and how it is expressed in YOU.

The richness of the human experience includes socialization into cultural norms, religious standards, moral codes, familial traditions, educational imperatives, gender roles, parental expectations, peer pressure and socio-economic boundaries.  With the cacophonous voices of propaganda, at each level of indoctrination, ordering us, directing us, commanding us, and demanding certain behavior from us, it is a miracle if our unique inner-voice ever speaks loudly enough to be heard, known, and trusted.   As you consider the overwhelming influence of your own conditioning, do you feel you have been true to yourself?
